1 Cup Chickpea Flour (Besan)

1/2 Cup, powdered Sugar

1 Tbsp Suji/ Rava

1 Tbsp Rice Flour

1/4 Tsp Baking Powder

2 Tbsp, powdered Almonds

1/2 Tsp Cardamom Powder

1/3 Cup Ghee
-
1-2 Tbsp Milk

6-7, halved for garnish Almonds
Directions
Absolutely melt in the mouth Besan Nankhatais for those sweet, healthy cravings in the evening with tea or anytime in the day! Besan is lower in carbs and richer in protein and fiber.

In a large bowl, mix besan, rice flour, suji, baking powder, almond powder and cardamom powder. Mix well. |

Now add the powdered sugar and mix it well together, so that the sugar is evenly blended. |

Add the ghee and rub it together. The mix will become crumbly. |

Now add milk little by little, building it into a dough. The minute a rough dough forms, do not add any more milk. Knead it lightly to form a firm dough. |

Divide into balls and flatten them with your palm. Mark a cross at the top and press in a half sliced almond on top in the center of the cross. |

Line a baking tray with baking paper and place these nankhatais in a row, keeping some distance. |

Preheat the oven to 160 degrees for 5 minutes. Place the baking tray inside and bake for 18 to 20 minutes until done. They will be soft to touch with darker edges, but will firm up as they cool. Best accompanied with a hot cup of tea or just by themselves, to satisfy those sweet cravings. |
